The Polytech Spiker full stock AKS-7.62 guns are very close to the original Vietnam era guns, except without milled receivers. I do not know why the Chinese never made a full stock milled version with a spike bayonet for the semi-automatic market. These guns all came bolt side down in their box, with three Chrome Follower magazines, oil bottle, sling, gas port cleaning tool, and a tubular cleaning kit inside the butt stock. Many of the Poly guns were made at Factory /416\.
Here is my 3 Digit FTC Woodland Hills Bakelite Spiker. And below with her FTC sister.
Here is a fine example from The Valley Walker Collection.
The Polytech guns are very sought after. A new in box example has increased in value regularly each year. Now, likely over $2,000.00.
They are becoming more scarce.
The polytech guns have not been imported since 1989.
Most spikers were made in Factory 416 inside a Triangle.
This one has a muzzle nut on its threaded barrel. |
The top gun is a 56S-2 that accepts a Type 1 Bayonet.
The middle gun a 56S Spiker,
and the bottom gun a 56S-3, full stock, which takes a Type II Bayonet.
