The Polytech 56S-2 Bakelite Side-Folder is one of the most uncommon and unique guns on the American market. They were all imported before 1989, and most were made at Poly-tech Factory 386. Most of these guns take a Type 1 Bayonet, like the Legend, but some accept a Type II Bakelite. Bayonet. These are some of the most beautiful guns available and have gone up in value considerably. B-West did import a fully Chinese arsenal built version, as did I.O. SAC. and C.S.I. LA. Please note that all of the Poly's have a slim red Bakelite pistol grip, while some of the other versions have a M1919 curved style
pistol grip. I like those much better.
The Polys came with three chrome follower magazines.
A shooter will go for close to $2,000.00. One of these NIB would be closer to $2,500.00.
