G.L.N.I.C., China Ging An Factory AK-47 Pre Ban Import Rifles

GLNIC, is the acronym for the "Guongdong Lingan Industrial Corporation," which was a military producer of Chinese AK type rifles.

These guns were said to have been some of the earlier imports and in some of the movies.

The trunnion has a CGA, which stands for China Ging An, which was for a time a Chinese Military producer of AK rifles.

The GLNIC LA CA was electric penciled in after importation.

Just like the F.T.C. Woodland Hills Guns were electric penciled.

GLNIC also roll stamped onto the barrel of some of their Pre- Ban Chinese AK.

However, you must watch out for Post-Ban rifles such as the GLNIC Mac-90, below.

  1. I have a NIB GLNIC spiker and it is marked differently than this one. It is marked on the barrel near the spike bracket. It is so small you almost can't see it. Can provide pics.

  3. I'm trying to identify a rifle my friend wishes to sell to me
It is penciled exactly like the picture above with GLNIC LA CA
It says made in china, has an under folding bayonet, and titled ak-47s
I believe it to be a type 56s
    Care to help?

    1. It is surly a Semi Auto 56S, ( S stands for Semi-Auto) upon immediate inspection. I have an FTC Woodland Hills gun stamped with just AK-47S. Some early guns had AK-47S, then all transitioned to AKS-7.62.

  4. Hello - I have the same MAK90 manufactured by GLNIC. I just purchased a different stock set from Boyds out of South Dakota www.boydsgunstocks.com. I thought they have a nicer selection then Ironwood. Any particular reason why my MAK doesnt have the Norinco emblem? And do i have the option of adding an fold under stock?

  5. I have an AK47S Stamped CGA 1***. the bolt, carrier, and receiver are all stamped with the 1*** but the gas tube has only a nail mark on the bottom side to mark the same number. Is this just an extremely early import? it also has cleaning kit in the stock and a nice rubber pad on the stock. it also has a closed loop front sight and a 45degree cut mussel break
