The Chinese AK-47 Blog: Polytech, Poly Technologies Imported Chinese AK-47 Rifles

Polytech Firearms, and Keng's Firearm Specialties, was owned by Mr. David Keng. The Polytech guns are known as having the best fit and finish of all of the American imported guns.

There were all made at factory /416\ or Factory (386)

They imported through Atlanta, Georgia. Most of the guns are marked AKS-762, although the Legend Series is designated AK-47S.

This rifle was made in Factory 386, and the CS, stands for China Sports, who imported some of the earliest Polytech guns.

Here is the Traditional Stamp on the rear left side of the receiver. This one was made at state factory /416\.

Here are some more of the early Polytech Stamps. Keep in Mind that KFS Atlanta Georgie, was an IMPORTER, and that POLYTECH was/ is a CHINESE BRAND of AK-47.

Norinco Stamped SILE Factory /416\ gun. Once again, many SILE guns were made a 416, which does mean they are THE SAME guns, just that KFS later Imported them.

ARE Norinco as well. Both were made in factory /416\

Polytech=Norinco, and Norinco= Polytech.

I recently purchased one from gunbroker. It has 386 and DF-00xxxx sn marked on receiver indicating this is a legend model. However, the seller said the box and manu doesn’t belong to legend. He said that this rifle was probably produced concurrently with legend series. I had never owned a polytech. Is this a real legend model or faked one? Thanks for any suggestions!

I have an RPK that is allegedly brought in by Navy Arms. It is a 223 that is unfired and has the box and everything g else minus a manual. It has zero import marks. I lean towards it being a polytech rather than a Norinco. I have 2 Mickey Mouse drums in 223 as well and they lock up perfectly. The original mags in the box have blued followers. It has a low serial in the 1300s. On the receiver it shows 013xx and all of the internals and dust cover show 13xx. Can you please tell me who the builder is?
